- The film "The Avengers" Took off with its first episode on the 7th of January 1961. The show then lasted a total 8 years on the air.
- The language they used in the Television series is very different to the language we use now for example when they talk about feminism it had only just started back then but we are much more used to it now.
- The comedic sense of it is also very different some things said then are not as funny now as they used to be.
- The whole picture of the series is also very different as technology has progressed through the years so it looks much more realistic now then it did then.
- The Avengers storyline can also be looked on as similar to the TV crime dramas these day as they all seem to follow the same sort of plot.
- It received good reviews, for an example today the Internet movie database gave the show a healthy 8.4 out of 10.
- The cast was very professional and the actors and actresses were very highly looked upon, including Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg.

ReplyDeleteYou have drawn attention to some aspects of the social, historical and cultural contexts. Aim to be specific eg what exactly makes Mrs Peel a modern lead? By 'language they use' are you talking about accents?
